This Bass is from the German school and is a seven eighth size round back model. It was completely restored in 1971 by Sam Kolstein and is so labeled within.
The top is of two piece medium grained spruce. The back is of two piece plain maple with the ribs of slightly flamed maple. The neck is the original with gears two to a plate attached to the scroll. The fingerboard is ebony. The color of the varnish is a golden amber. It has a raised saddle.
This bass has a large orchestral sound and is in excellent condition.
