Facebook identities: Switching between business page and personal profile
One of the values of using Facebook to promote your company is the ability to comment on your own business page or other business pages either as your personal profile or as your company. Sometimes one is more appropriate than another. There is often confusion about how to easily switch back and forth.
Using your personal profile.
To be able to comment with your personal profile on your own business page or when you are one of the administrators of a business page takes just a few steps.
First, go to your business page and click on EDIT PAGE on the right corner of the page.

Next click on YOUR SETTINGS in the left menu.

Unclick the POSTING PREFERENCES box, which allows you to post as yourself on your business page.
SAVE CHANGES. And you are done.
Using your company profile.
There are times you want to leave comments representing your company rather than your personal profile. This is especially important when you are building your brand.
First, go to your personal Facebook page and click on the ACCOUNT drop-down menu and select USE FACEBOOK AS PAGE. This means that your company profile will be used when you like or comment on other Facebook pages and on your own business page.

A popup window appears and you select your business page. Click on SWITCH.

You will then be switched to your business page.
To go back to your personal profile select ACCOUNT drop-down menu on the right and select your personal profile. That’s all there is to it.

You can always tell which profile you are in by starting to make a comment. It will show either your company logo or your personal portrait.
This is really something valuable to keep in mind when building your business brand in social media. When you comment, like or share on other Facebook pages your business gets more exposure and links back to your own business page.
